The
Capital Requirements Directive (CRD) was approved by the ECOFiN on 7th
June, 2006 and by the European Parliament on 14th June, 2006 (in a
co-decision procedure). The eventual text of the Directive is available

The
2000/12/EK directive has been modified by the 2006/48/EK directive, and
the 93/6/EGK directive has been modified by the 2006/49/EK directive.
Basel Committee on Banking Supervision:

new regulation is based on a recommendation for the big banks are
active on the international market, created by the Basel Committee. The
