According to the Code, the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority (HFSA) regularly
oversees the compliance with the provisions of the Code and publishes on its website
the observations and the ratings established in the course of such inspections.
Besides the list of the institutions joined the Code, the HFSA publishes on its
website the list of those institutions which deal with retail lending and leasing
but has not joined the Code. Furthermore, the HFSA publishes the list of those
institutions not dealing with retail lending and leasing thus these institutions
need not join the Code.
The list of
Several institutions signalled their intentions to join the Code when the Code
came into force. These institutions informed the HFSA that they can only join
the Code after fulfilling certain conditions. The HFSA decided to put these institutions
on the list of „the institutions intent to join the Code” instead of the list
of „the institutions not joining the Code”. After 3 month of the Code’s coming
into force, the HFSA ended the list of „the institutions intent to join the Code”.
Those institutions, which have not sent their statement to the HFSA, have been
transferred onto the list of “the institutions not joining the Code”.
